Description
Hi,
I encountered a situation where Gitfiend did not behave as expected, I right clicked on the Gitfiend icon on the dock (I'm using Ubuntu's default desktop, but i expect this behaviour is the same on other platforms) and then clicked "New Window"
Expected:
I expected a new Gitfiend window to appear on my current workspace that would all me to select the git project I'm currently working on and perform actions on that git project without making any changes to the existing Gitfiend window in the other workspace
Actual:
What actually happened when I clicked "New Window" was Gitfiend triggered switch to the workspace it was running on and brought the Gitfiend window to the foreground.
The behaviour I experienced is what I would expect if I had clicked on the Gitfiend icon but is not what I would expect by clicking "New Window". I'm aware that some Mac apps prevent multiple windows of the same application and perhaps this is what you are trying to emulate? This behaviour of prevent multiple windows of the same application is very limiting on Mac's and encourages people to switch to other applications that allow multiple independent windows.
So this enhancement request is to change the behaviour of Gitfiend to allow multiple independent Gitfiend windows.
