On 21 July Indra together with Aena, Unifly, ENAIRE, INECO and Pipistrel Aircraft took an important step in the EUREKA SESAR3 Fast Track project , successfully completing the TRL6 validation exercises✅ through a real-time simulation, led by Indra and coordinated by Aena. The goal 🎯 was to test how an IAS flight can operate in an airport environment minimizing the impact on manned traffic through three validation exercises: 1. IAS flight authorisation, activation process and take-off in a vertiport 🛫 in airport minimising impact on simulated manned traffic 2. IAS Corridor flight 3. Landing at destination vertiport in airport environment minimising impact on manned traffic 🛬 We ran both nominal and non-nominal scenarios to really stress-test the procedures and interfaces. The interfaces involved were: 🔸 Drone Aeronautical Information Management (DAIM) 🔸Slots requests/responses 🔸U-plan information & updates (FAXS) 🔸Vertiport authorisation request/response 🔸Slots availability updates 🔸Flight permission requests/responses 🔸Telemetry (Network ID) Over the course of the exercises, the team simulated a wide range of situations — from standard operations to more complex cases like closed vertiports, unavailable FATO areas, conflicts in the corridor, taxi authorisation rejections, the use of Dynamic Airspace Reconfiguration service and emergency landings. In total, we demonstrated the validation exercises through 10 different scenarios, which clearly showed that this project is moving closer to technical and operational readiness. This is a solid step forward towards integrating urban air mobility 🏙️ 🚁 safely and efficiently into airport and vertiport environments. 📈Indra Group accelerates the growth of its revenues and profitability in the first half of the year, securing a €215 million profit. ✅The order backlog in the first six months of the year reaches €9.474 billion for the first time, constituting a 33% year-on-year increase with respect to the same period in 2024. This figure includes €1.449 billion stemming from the acquisition of Tess Defence. ✅The order intake increased by 18% with respect to the first half of 2024, supported by the Defence, Air Traffic (ATM) and Mobility businesses, which record growth above 38% during the period. ✅Revenues increased by 6% in the first six months of the year, with double-digit year-on-year rises in Defence and ATM. ✅The EBITDA and EBIT, the indicators of operating profitability, increased by 15% and 17% year-on-year between January and June respectively.  ✅The Defence and ATM divisions jointly account for more than half of the company’s EBITDA. ✅The net profit totals €215 million in the first half of the year, constituting an 88% year-on-year increase. This figure includes the one-off impact of the financial results of TESS Defence.  ✅The number of employees grew by 3,542 in the period, a 6% increase with respect to the same period in 2024. Three out of every four new recruitments were in Spain. ✅In June, the acquisition of a 26% stake in TESS Defence, the armored vehicle manufacturer, was completed, and the purchase of a 37% stake in the SPARC microchip startup was announced. ✅The company strengthened all of its financial targets set for 2025. Hoy hemos participado en el desayuno Informativo organizado por Executive Forum España con Pere Navarro, director General de la Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT). Manuel López Villena, director global de Tráfico e Infraestructuras de Indra, ha destacado la larga trayectoria de colaboración de Indra con la DGT, "nos gusta ser socios tecnológicos de nuestros clientes como lo es la DGT. The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €385 million financing agreement with Indra Group to boost up its R+D investment on cutting-edge technologies for the defence and space sectors.   The signing took place at the EIB's headquarters in Luxembourg with the presence of Nadia Calviño, president of EIB's group, Robert de Groot, vice president of EIB, and Angel Escribano Ruiz, chairman of Indra Group. 🔸 It will contribute to the building of Indra's technological investigation and development centre, Indra Technology Hub. 🔸 Moreover, it will help to make advances in radar technologies, electronic defence, command and control communications or advanced digitisation technologies.   This is the EIB's biggest financing in Spain to date for boosting research and development of technologies applied to the defence and space sectors, and it's part of the EIB Group's actions to strengthen Europe's security and defence capabilities, a cross-cutting action line of the Group that contributes to the TechEU initiative.   Press release 🔗https://lnkd.in/dVrxs7rC #IndraGroup #EIB #Indra #Defence #Space #BEI

Indra Group y Bittium firman un acuerdo de intenciones para colaborar en una solución de comunicaciones por radio tácticas militares completamente europea. 🇪🇺 El acuerdo de intenciones ha sido firmado hoy por Angel Escribano Ruiz, presidente ejecutivo de Indra Group, José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO de Indra Group, Tommi Kangas, Senior Vicepresidente Defence & Security Bittium y Erik Ahnger, Vice President Business Development Bittium, en el Ministerio de Defensa en presencia de la secretaria de Estado de Defensa, Amparo Valcarce. 🔹El objetivo es explorar la transferencia de tecnología desde Bittium, mientras que Indra aportará su amplia experiencia y conocimientos en el ámbito de los sistemas SDR y las formas de onda. This week we held at Indra the third joint demo of the European projects SESAR 3 HARMONIC Project and SESAR 3 ISLAND Project, within the framework of the SESAR Joint Undertaking programme, together with partners from NATS. 🔍 Both projects aim to improve the dynamic and efficient management of European airspace, fostering digital tools for better civil-military coordination, greater operational flexibility, and capacity optimisation. In this demo, we showcased the new functionalities of the iACM system (Integrated Airspace Capacity Manager), developed by Indra, as preparation for the validation in October. 📌 We validated: • In HARMONIC (Solution 0382), the use of DAC (Dynamic Airspace Configuration) in a tactical environment, enhancing coordination with the Network Manager. This exercise is led by Indra. • In ISLAND (Solution 0331), the integration of DMAs (Dynamic Mobile Areas) to enable flexible management of airspace involving military actors. Many thanks to NATS for their active participation and continued collaboration. We keep moving towards a more digital, collaborative and sustainable sky!
