How can I stop NewsToday2 pop-up from opening automatically in Safari?

Why does NewsToday2 always pops up after sign in and how stop. As I have tried going to time in top right corner of screen after close it and system setting with no luck. It is annoying as it keeps on popping up.

The NewsToday2 is a widget that appears in Notification Center, whether you are actively using the News app or not. It should not be harassing you in that manner. I suggest quitting that widget. To do that, open Notification Center, scroll down to Edit Widgets, and remove it.
