How can I update my profile on Game Center?

I am trying to update my profile picture on my Game Center, and it’s not letting me. It keeps saying unable to save identity. The selected identity could not be saved. Please try again.

My apple id's profile picture is blank I woke up this morning and opened up settings on my iPad. I noticed that my profile picture was grey and reverted to the original format. When I click on the tab to go to my iCloud settings, it shows my profile picture. I've tried everything and it can't seem to be fixed I couldn't update because of this, any fix ?

Apple Account profile photo will not change. My Apple ID photo won’t change no matter what I do. I go in settings > click my account at the top > click photo > change it. It will change, but the moment I click out and go back in it reverts back. This is very annoying any way I can fix this? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Change picture in Game Center profile I found a question on this in 2020 where the answer was it's not possible to use your own profile picture for Game Center. I can't believe this really isn't possible when every account I have for pretty much anything supports this ability. Do Apple have any plans to make this possible... other than to provide a little editor that forces you to create something with very little imagination or capability?
