I started playing this when I was recovering from a concussion, and it really helped! Trying to think of what moves I should do compared to what I see, and also trying to focus on all the tiles really helped! I’ve almost completed every board (including going back and completing all the previous daily boards), and I think a fun option would be a “random board” button. This way instead of resetting all the boards, you could be taken to a random board to replay. This could also be an option for regular players that just want to play, not necessarily trying to complete each level individually.

This is a very nice version of Mahjong, and I’ve played many. It has a nice variety of tiles and background options to keep it interesting- the traditional tiles are available as well as simpler challenges like foods and letters- would make it easier for kids to learn. Plus they have some nice options that make the games go faster if you want, such as highlighting available tiles so you know which ones are free. My only small complaint is that it would be nice to have more music choices- I like the idea of listening to music as I solve, but the tune is repetitive after awhile. *Note that I have only played 20 or so games at this point, so if there are issues with having to pay to get more boards or anything like that, I haven’t seen them yet. I will update my review if I come across anything like that, but otherwise this is just a fun version of Mahjong with some nice bells and whistles to make in interesting. Enjoy!

Love Mahjong. Great way to stay mentally sharp and to pass the time enjoyably. I looked up a free version in the App Store, but the frequent, seemingly uncloseable advertisements every other round was super frustrating to me - counteracting the added mental clarity I was going for in the first place by playing a pattern recognition game lol. Then I was like”Apple One comes with Apple Arcade, surely they have their own Mahjong game.” And, sure enough, they did and it HAS NO ADS. I cannot overstate how much better playing this type of a game is at achieving a state of calm-mindedness without the annoying, bright, and loud advertisements constantly assailing you. Highly recommended 👍.

I’m still in the beginning boards I’m sure since they have all been solvable pretty easily but I enjoy that. It’s an easy game to kill time and relax the mind. The tiles are pretty and there are several backgrounds to change out for a different feel. Only thing I may suggest is showing the timer while you are playing the game instead of just after the puzzle is solved. Mild frustration when I’m trying for all three stars and miss the time by just a couple of seconds when I know I could have finished the last few tiles a smidge faster and made it.
