Color Block Jam 12+

I was OK until I got a hard level which was impossible to get through without paying. I’m of average intelligence. This is a very stressful game because they only give you two minutes and I bought an extra 20 seconds like a fool. During the last five seconds of that 20 seconds I was unable to move any blocks that were clear to move. The game itself stopped allowing me to move the blocks and so I tried it again and I bought the extra 20 seconds again thinking that it might’ve been my phone sensitivity that was keeping me from moving the blocks. Again, the last five seconds of that 20 seconds I could not move any blocks.
This game is a ploy to get your money. They’ve got enough of my money. I have deleted the game & If I could give this game a zero I would! This is not relaxing in the slightest bit because it is timed.
I want my money back! But I figure I paid for my own stupidity. I should have known better.
I gave this 5 stars because that is the only way that my review will be posted here.
I have tried multiple times to post my review as a one star review and I Can’t find it anywhere. So I’m trying this to see if they will actually post it.

I got this game because I saw a lot of ads for it. I wanted to try it out, so I downloaded it. When I played the first level I realized that the game itself is exactly like the ads that I saw. The levels are a nice mix of easy and hard, I also really like the reward system. Every level you pass, you’re closer and closer to getting more coins and fireworks to help you pass more levels.

The only 2 things I would change is the timer and the ads. The timer can be annoying especially when I only have one block left, that means I have to start all the way over when I was so close to beating it.

Next, the ads. After you beat a level, you have two options. 1 watch an ad and get 80 coins.
2 don’t watch an ad and get 40 coins. What irritates me about this is that when I click the 40 coin button I’ll almost always get an ad where I have to watch the whole thing, which is tolerable except for the fact that I’m getting half the coins that I would get if I hit the 80 coins button. They both have ads, that are pretty much the same length.

I do really recommend this game though. It’s super fun and addictive. I love the way the levels get crazier and crazier the more you play. If you do download this app, I do recommend clicking the 80 coin button after you finish a level.

Honestly I love mostly everything about the game. The art is very pleasant, the animations are satisfying, and the gameplay is downright addictive. The only thing I don’t like is that you’re forced to complete the levels within a certain timeframe. I understand that it’s integral to their gameplay and monetization model; not beating the level in the time allotted loses you a life, you have a limited amount of lives, but you can buy more in-game currency to buy more lives and keep playing. That’s what they want, and I won’t fault the publishers for trying to make money off of a game that obviously had a lot of work go into it. But it really does ruin my enjoyment when I just straight up can’t play anymore when I run out of lives because I was maybe 5 swipes away from finishing a level.
I also understand that many people probably enjoy the challenge of needing to finish the level within a time limit, that puts a bit of stress in that intensifies things. So removing the time limit isn’t an option. But maybe make it a toggle? Like if you want to turn the time limit off click a button in the settings or something. Even if you make that toggle available via in-app purchase, I would like to have that option if possible. Otherwise I just can’t see myself playing more of this game.
