We have officially launched the Al Maryah Waterfront enhancement project, a monumental development in transforming the island’s lifestyle and leisure experience. The groundbreaking was led by our Deputy Group CEO, Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, alongside our CEO of UAE Investments, Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri. At the heart of the project is a 30-meter luminous sphere set in the bay, surrounded by 1,000 AI-powered jets and choreographed to music by Ramin Djawadi, designed by the premier water design firm in the world WET. This project includes shaded outdoor areas, waterfront access, and vibrant F&B zones, that will create exciting new spaces that enhance quality of life and support Abu Dhabi’s vision as a leading global destination. We have announced our investment in Techem, a trusted and leading sub-metering services provider with a digital edge, alongside Partners Group, GIC, and TPG Rise Climate. Founded in 1952, Techem has over 440,000 customers in 18 countries and services over 13 million dwellings. Its services contribute to the long-term decarbonization of the real estate sector, which accounts for around 40% of global CO2 emissions. What began as a dream has become a symbol of inclusion, creativity, and empowerment. At the Future Rehabilitation Centre, students helped bring to life the UAE’s first-of-its-kind inclusive library, a space built for them, by them.
